Thank you for taking the time to read my CV.
One of the greatest achievements in life is enjoying what you do every day. To have a passion for what you are working on that drives you to achieve the goals you are set, this is truly job satisfaction.
From a very young age I have always loved two things – all things online, and food. My passion for online and media began the day I first had the opportunity to use a computer, and then took off when I finally got connected to the World Wide Web. I have been intrigued and interested by the world of opportunities that have arisen from this great "invention".
My passion for food began as early as I can remember and I have continued to learn everything that I can since, as well as spending every single day both online and in my kitchen ; furthering my knowledge in both fields in order to combine these two passions. When these two fields are combined, I have ample opportunity to drive myself towards success and the ultimate job satisfaction.
In a perfect world, a combination of these two passions would be my ideal job, while that not may be possible, this is why I have created my two websites/blogs– which satisfies my need for combining my two passions – digital, and food.
http://www.indigogirl.co.za was started in 2010 as a food blog, yet more like a food diary. It is a Wordpress based blog, which I have found and edited templates to create the desired user experience. I then created http://www.inspiredbyfood.co.za which was to become a site full of information and images regarding suburban beekeeping, urban farming and self sufficiency – in suburbia. I have now closed Indigogirl.co.za, and am currently working on my Inspiredbyfood.co.za site, which is designed entirely with html and css and I hope to start updating the content as soon as the design is finished.
Combining these two passions has given me great satisfaction for my personal time, and now after spending a year following my passion for food, and experiencing the food production industry and running my own business - I have also realized that my passion for food is just a passion and hobby. My love for all things digital and online is definitely my desired career path where there is still so much for me to learn, and I would like to continue learning and further my skills in this exciting industry.
I have experience in web design, html coding as well as graphic design. I have also successfully run email marketing campaigns using different methods and programs as well as various SEO campaigns. My knowledge now also extends to customer services within the food industry environment, from managing a small production kitchen and market stalls, to developing products and working at various food market stalls too.
Passions and drive aside, I feel that I am a very friendly, bubbly and outgoing young lady who loves learning as much as she can, each and every day. A day without learning is a day wasted.
I feel that my ideal position would be doing web or content editing, graphic design, image editing and uploading for a site focusing on food or beverages, or at least in the hospitality or tourism industry. But while this is not always an option, I have also worked on sites and for companies focusing on blue chip insurance companies and financial companies. If you would like to see a portfolio of my own images (food, and wild mushrooms) which have been photographed and then edited where need be - please have a look at http://www.indigogirl.co.za of if you would like to see my digital portfolio please contact me.
I hope the information I have provided has been adequate and that my passions have shown themselves. I feel that I could be an excellent addition to your team and an asset to your company. I look forward to hearing from you and possibly working with you in the future.
Kind Regards
Jackie Buss
